At Fabrikate, we're always looking for ways to expand what we can offer. That's why we recently added Framer to our workflow, and it's already opening up some exciting possibilities for our clients.
From static mockups to real experiences
For a long time, showing clients a design meant walking them through static screens and asking them to use their imagination. It worked, but it wasn't ideal. With Framer, we can now build advanced interactive prototypes that look and behave like the real thing, scroll effects, animations, hover states and all. Clients immediately feel the product instead of trying to picture it.
Why not just use Figma?
We love Figma, and we still use it every day for design work. But when it comes to showing a prototype to a client, it has its limits. Figma prototypes are great for basic click-through flows, but they can feel too static. Animations are limited, interactions need workarounds, and the overall experience often feels like a slideshow rather than a real website.
Framer is built differently. Because it runs in the browser and uses real code under the hood, prototypes feel alive. Scroll-based animations, physics-based interactions, responsive layouts that actually resize, it all just works the way a finished website would. For clients, that difference is huge. Instead of asking them to imagine how something will feel, we can simply show them.
